Motorsport UK Marshal Registration Scheme

Motorsport UK requires all stage rally marshals to be registered and to have undertaken a short online course.

Below is a guide for each of the 5 categories of people most likely to apply for a card.

The categories are

  1. If you've had a photo-ID marshal’s card before, but never renewed it online.
  2. If you've had a photo-ID marshal’s card before, and have renewed online in previous years.
  3. If you've had a marshals card before but not a photo-ID one.
  4. If you've never had a marshals card before.
  5. If you have a photo-ID but not for marshalling i.e. Race licence, non-race, rally etc.

1. If you've had a photo-ID marshal’s card before, but never renewed it online

-  Go to https://members.motorsportuk.org/imissite/login/default.asp

- Click “Request A Login” in the middle of the screen. Follow the on-screen instructions.

- Once you receive a log in, log in and renew for this year but…

- You won't get a card issued without taking the online test available here https://www.motorsportuk.org/Marshals/Online-rally-marshals-training

2. If you've had a photo-ID marshal’s card before, and have renewed online in previous years

-  Go to https://members.motorsportuk.org/imissite/login/default.asp

- Log in.

- Renew for this year but…

- You won’t get a card issued without taking the online test available here https://www.motorsportuk.org/Marshals/Online-rally-marshals-training

3. If you've had a marshals card before but not a photo-ID one

- You'll need to fill in a paper application form and attach a photo. Your registration number will be the same as in previous years.

- Fill in the form.

- Send it to the Chief Marshal of your club. Iain Jones in the case of Coalville Car Club.

- Keep a spare photo for your licence book, when it arrives.

- You then need to go to https://members.motorsportuk.org/imissite/login/default.asp

- Click “Request A Login” in the middle of the screen. Follow the on-screen instructions.

- Once you have a log in, log in and take the online test – You will not be issued with a card without doing the test available here https://www.motorsportuk.org/Marshals/Online-rally-marshals-training

4. If you've never had a Marshals card before

- You'll need to take the on-line test before you can apply.

- Go to https://members.motorsportuk.org/imissite/login/default.asp

- Click “Register with Motorsport UK”. Follow the on-screen instructions.

- Once registered return to the webpage above with your new number and click “Request A Login”. Follow the on-screen instructions.

- Now you have a login, log in and take the test. It's really not difficult, and they provide plenty of reading material for you.

- Once you've passed the test, print off your certificate. Make sure you do this now as you will not get another chance to print your certificate.

- Print off an application form from here https://www.motorsportuk.org/assets/2019marshalregistrationapplication.pdf

- Fill in the form.

- Send it to the Chief Marshal of your club. Iain Jones in the case of Coalville Car Club.

- Keep a spare picture for your licence book, when it arrives.

5. If you have a photo-ID but not for marshalling i.e. Race licence, non-race, rally etc.)

- Your number for marshalling will be the same as your other ID number so…

-  Go to https://members.motorsportuk.org/imissite/login/default.asp

- Click “Request A Login” in the middle of the screen. Follow the on-screen instructions.

- Now you have a login, log in and take the test. It's really not difficult, and they provide plenty of reading material for you.
